Brand new JBL Tour Pro 2 - Red Bluetooth and non-responsive headphones
Something I wanted to share, in-case it helps anyone else in regards to JBL Tour Pro 2 earbuds.
I bought a brand new pair of JBL Tour Pro 2 earbuds. I left them on charge for a few hours and then opened the case, and the earbuds did not start flashing blue. i.e. they were not in
Symptoms/Behaviour:
- The instructions say to put the earbuds in the case and connect the USB-C cable or press the button on the bottom of the case and open the
- The Bluetooth logo on the case screen shows as a red bluetooth logo ( ) and both R and L show a dash; - next to them.
- The headphones appear dead or non-responsive.
Solution:
After 15-20 minutes of trying to factory reset non-responsive earbuds to no avail, I finally realised there is a sticky clear piece of plastic on each of the silver receptors on each earbud. Once I removed this and inserted the earbud into the case, they went straight into pairing mode and my laptop and phone both popped up to tell me there was a device wanting to pair 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
