Chrome self-signed Un-signed certificate not being accepted. Returns err_insecure_response

Seeing some odd behaviour in chrome recently when accessing devices with self signed certificate. I click through the warning page and then anywhere from 2-5 minutes later the pages stop responding. When i hit F5 to refresh, I am taken back to trust the self signed certificate again. Very annoying and forcing me to use Firefox Mozilla for access to network equipment with self signed certs.
